About

This Is Me

I believe you must bring your whole self to the table if you want to thrive in today’s crazy world; your personality, your sense of humor, and most importantly, your heart. All of these elements brought me to found Teaching An Old Cook New Tricks in 2020.

My love of cooking inspired me. About ten years ago I developed severe allergies to gluten, nuts, soy, eggs and corn.  I had to learn new tricks. While I was at it, I became a Pescatarian about two years ago.

I'm of Italian descent, born and raised on Long Island, New York and learned to cook when I was very young from the best - my two grandmothers and my mom.

I invite you to explore my site, learn about my passions, and explore what excites and interests you as well.

If you are a foodie and a dog lover like myself, this is the place for you.

Please leave comments on posts that inspire you.  Ask questions about anything you are curious about.  I promise to answer as quickly as possible.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site.  Happy cooking.
