I didn't get a chance to film my mom making this cake as I was busy cooking in my side of the house. However, it's very easy.

The applesauce cake has been a tradition in my family since 1973. A neighbor who used to live across the street gave my mom her mother's recipe not long after we moved into the house in 1972. She was older, like another grandma to us kids.
I blocked the names written on the page, even though, sadly, they are all deceased. The neighbor would be over 100 years old now. But the neighbor's mother's applesauce cake lives on every year at our house!
It's so easy, smells so delicious while baking and tastes amazing. It's even good leftover. We eat it breakfast. Just pop it in the toaster oven and once it's warm and slightly toasted, spread some butter on top and you have a delightful morning meal.

My ultimate favorite on Thanksgiving has always been the desserts!
