Smoothies are a great way to start the day. You can make them the night before and grab them out of the fridge to take with you on your way to work or school. It will fill you up and give you the energy you need to feel good and feel alert and ready to take on the day.
Add yogurt, milk, chick peas, a few packets of Truvia, flax seed, oats (gluten free) one banana and drained peaches from a Dole fruit cup.
Above video is of my Chiweenie, Lucy, who went on a sniff fest. I had gone for an early morning test at a doctor's office and I wore a jacket that had one of her balls still in it. I had taken her "comfort ball" with me when I dropped her at the vet for her own surgery recently. I forgot it in my pocket. At the doctor's office, I found it, took it out, and handed it to my husband. Apparently, Lucy wouldn't believe I no longer had the rubber ball in my possession.
This is how I work on my blog posts sometimes. Surrounded by my pups. I like to sit on the edge of my bed, so I can watch the TV while I work. I do have a big desk, but prefer the edge of the bed, go figure.
Yes, I've always done ten things at once. My husband gets crazy. "How can you type, watch TV, watch a video and read a book all at the same time." My teachers used to want me to study in quiet or do homework in silence. Nope. I got all A's and did homework and studying in front of the TV with a Donna Summer album on the stereo! I must admit, these days, I can't concentrate on it all at the same time like I used to, but I still need the "noise" in the background.
Back to the recipe - I often eat the peaches as a snack as well and they add sweetness to the smoothie. Blend all ingredients well, serve and enjoy. Delicious and full of good stuff to get you going in the morning.
