Gluten Free Glazed Carrots

Updated: Apr 8

If you are looking for a scrumptious side dish for a holiday, these gluten free glazed carrots won't disappoint.

Yes, carrots are gluten free, however, I use all gluten free ingredients in them hence - Gluten free glazed carrots.

Mom and I peeled and sliced the carrots the day before and I refrigerated them in plastic bags. I prefer to steam mine, in batches if necessary. I steam until almost completely soft.

If you don't want to steam them, place them onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and spray lightly with olive oil. Stir and put into a 425 degree preheated oven, Mix the carrots several times as they cook. Roast until almost completely soft.

I made a lot of carrots for about 25 people. I placed them into an aluminum tray after they were done steaming. Place pats of butter, sugar, brown sugar and salt to taste on the carrots.

Place into a preheated 425 degree oven and cook until butter melts, sugars melt and carrots are completely cooked. Stir a few times during cooking process.

Once carrots are completely cooked to desired tenderness, remove from oven. Place into a serving dish and serve immediately or cover and refrigerate. Heat up in a preheated 250 degree oven. Enjoy.
