Wishing everyone a happy, healthy New Year.
It's been a bit of a whirlwind for me. I was laid up with COVID most of November. In early December I had a heart procedure and wound up in ICU with complications. No fun. The end of December I went to the hospital via ambulance. They found blood clots in my leg and lungs with one huge one cutting off the blood supply. Again I had a procedure done to remove the clots from the lungs, again had complications and wound up in ICU.
I'm home and recovering. I can't wait to start cooking again. I'm hoping to have more great recipes up soon.
The good news is, through all this, I became a grandma for the first time. I couldn't be more excited. My son and daughter-in-law had a beautiful baby girl mid December. My second grandbaby is due in July. My daughter and son-in-law are having their first. I have a lot to be grateful for.
