My blog and cooking are on hold for a while. On the Friday before Easter, 4/15/22, my dog dragged me down onto cement. I was rushed to Stony Brook trauma and spent 10 days in the hospital.
I was treated by the Trauma Team, Infectious Disease Team, Orthopedic Team and Physical Therapy team. I was on IV antibiotics due to an infection developing.
I'm not out of the woods yet. I can't walk on my own, and need equipment such as a walker, commode and shower seat. I have a nurse coming to the house twice a week, a physical therapist twice a week and an aid daily.
I may still need surgery.
So, at this point, I hope you enjoy all my previous recipes and I look forward to getting back to cooking soon.
